Instructions
- Begin by folding your sheet music into a paper fan shape. I do this on the shorter side of the paper so your tree is nice and tall;
- Once you have folded the paper, you will trim it into a tree shape;
- You can do this easily by unfolding and then folding the paper into a triangle and cutting along the creases;
- Next, you will need to cut small holes every few folds of the paper so you can insert your dowel rod through the center;
- I did this by using a small knife and making a simple “x” so it could simply push through and fit the rod perfectly;
- Once you have the holes, you will slide the dowel rod through the paper gently and pull up to create the tree shape;
- You can then trim off any excess wood, and use a bit of hot glue to secure on the top and bottom;
- Next, glue or secure a small gold star to the top of your tree;
- The final step before displaying is to hot glue the dowel rod onto the center of your wood slice (or whatever you choose to use as a base).
- Display your tree on a mantle, as a centerpiece, or on a bookshelf.
